Prologue — Lots of things to say..

Present Day:

Standing outside Bangalore airport at 10:30 in the night surely gives you chills to the spine. The airport is busy with people getting out of cabs and getting cabs. Everybody is busy with their baggage preparing for their holiday trip. It’s Christmas and everyone is preparing to see their loved one.

There she stood in front of me about to get into the airport gate. With all her baggage. She was wearing a blue jean, a purple top with a jacket on top off it. I was watching her straightened hair fall gracefully over her eyes. She used to have curly hair. It used to make her look cute when she was just out of the shower. But then she used to do a long process to get it straight.

“Give me back my ticket bitch!!”

She slapped my face as she snatched the ticket away from my hands. She was furious, sad and …

Her slap did bring me back to my senses. She is standing there ready to leave me forever and going back to UAE and I don’t want her to go. I am standing there, ready to fight for her.

“I am leaving asshole”

She was on the edge of a breakdown. I can see her trying to hide her sadness. Pulling herself together. I was standing there as the said asshole without able to say a single word.

I airport started noticing our drama.

Fuck with other people’ I thought to myself

My whole life choices started to flash in front of eyes.

The year 2013 :

Give me some sunshine

Give me some rain

Give me another chance to grow up

Once again”

Sonu Nigam was playing in my ears as I was getting ready to sleep in my bed. Tomorrow is a big day…

I am going to engineering college. Not just some college, Sahrdaya College of Engineering. To study Electronics and communication engineering. The day I have been dreaming about. I place where I could learn things outside of the textbook.

I went to college in full formals. I was first greeted with a hall full of students from my batch. The college has started the induction program to make our mindset for the college. There I met my first friend. Sitting in the front row alone. He was a bit awkward, but who am I to judge as I was too awkward.

“Hi, my name is Dinu and I am from Electronics”

“Hi, my name is Fabin and I am also in electronics” he was wearing a blue shirt with full sleeve and pants and grey pants. He too had specs like mine.

“Great, I think we are from the same department,” I said

“Yes, we are. I hope we are in the same class” He said.

Thus, began my four years in that college
